One of the most exciting groups to emerge from the British blues boom of the 60s, Ten Years After were quick to claim their places in the charts (albums such as Stonedhenge, Sssh and Cricklewood Green raced up the listings) and the history books, with none other than virtuoso guitarist Alvin Lee leading them to stardom. This collection of rare TV broadcasts, spanning the years 1968 to 1969, captures the band in full flight, unfettered by the restrictions of the recording studio and delivering highlights from their debut album (a cover of Al Kooper's I Can't Keep From Crying Sometimes) and 1969's Sssh (I Woke Up This Morning) alongside improvisatory jams that proved the boys from Nottingham could hold their own against any Delta bluesmen (not to mention homeland rivals such as Cream and Fleetwood Mac).
Over half a century on, these Ten Years After performances have the power to stop time.
